Finding the perfect location for an event can pose quite a challenge because there is so much to choose from in Dublin, so here is a selection of five locations that offer something special.
Thomas Prior Hall
This stunning venue was formerly a masonic school in the 19th century and is situated in the grounds of the Clayton hotel in Ballsbridge next to the RDS. The venue boasts an amazing vaulted wooden ceiling, stained glass windows and a choir balcony and is a fine example of a historic building, combining church-like charm with state-of-the-art facilities.
The Round Room at the Mansion House
The Round Room was built to receive King George IV in 1821. Historic events have taken place here, such as the proclamation of The Irish Declaration of Independence. In 2016, a series of live broadcasts will take place here as part of the centenary of The 1016 rising commemorations, as outlined by RTE. This awe-inspiring venue’s domed roof adds to the atmosphere, and it can hold more than 500 guests.
The Aviva Stadium
Home to the Irish International Football and Rugby teams, this would make a memorable location for any event and can accommodate anywhere from 10 to 1,200 people. Spanning three levels with an additional 36 corporate boxes that overlook the pitch, there is scope for all types of events here.
The Hanover
This is an exciting new event space that is situated on the waterfront at Hanover quay. It features a huge open-plan floor space that measures 12,000 square feet. The possibilities for this location are endless, so it might be worthwhile to hire one of the event companies in Dublin such as Davis events agency to assist in the planning of events at this location.
The Convention Centre
The CCD opened in 2010 and has quickly become an iconic building. It has six light-flooded foyers for networking and hospitality and the capacity for 8,000 people across 22 rooms that include meeting rooms, boardrooms, and a 2,000-seater auditorium. The venue has hosted events consisting of anywhere from five to 5,500 people, making it an all-purpose venue. Other features are the breath-taking views of Dublin from the upper floors and the opportunity to light the building in colours that are suitable for your event or brand.
